Alas, I was on the road down here when the Arcade Fire tix went on sale. No way in hell I'm sitting anywhere past those front two sections at the Bowl... so I am shit out of luck yet again when it comes to that band.

Curmudgeon, shmurmudgeon. I sat at the back of the 3d section (the J's, I think) for Radiohead a few years back and could barely hear the sound that the 5 tiny specks on stage were making. That place is crazy and goes way too far back.
The bottle of wine poured into the big plastic cup was awesome, though... even better when the lady behind the counter handed me a lid and a straw.
I'll keep an eye out for late-released tix... how was the Greek show, btw?

I dunno, man... is it really so snooty to want to be able to at least make out a facial expression or two?
This past week I have drank Heineken, Miller Lite, and Harp.
The only beers I truly discriminate against are Coors and Budweiser products. These were once standard, decent American lagers, but through years of tampering and catering to the lowest common denominator, these beers have been reduced to nothing more than corn and rice soda pops. The amount of real grains and hops used in them is the bare minimum allowed to be able to say that you use grains and hops in the making of your beer. Budweiser, especially, is guilty of this and makes one of the worst products available on any market, anywhere. If you like Bud, then you do not like beer. Actually, what that stuff is now should be in the "malternative" section of the beer store, along with the other non-beer malted beverages.
I have heard, however, that AB is getting scared by the micro revolution and is going to return the Budweiser recipe to the one that existed in the early 70s. If that's true, and actually happens, then I'll gladly buy a sixer and give 'er another go.
