anyway, got any MACABRE fans around here? this weekend i was introduced to their album DAHMER, which is an entire album about our favorite serial killer jeffrey dahmer. some of my favorite songs included dog guts, drillbit lobotomy and do the dahmer.

First of all Ferdi and the band would like to thank everyone for coming to the benefit show we had in early aug. Almost 9,000 dollars were raised for his hospital bills from which now he is almost completely recovered. However, for health reasons, he has decided to quit playing music and live a REAL life. For the last two months, we have been practicing with our new drummer, longtime friend and Circle Jerk Kevin Fitzgerald. Things have been working out amazingly and, as a result, our first show will be on Fri., Oct. 5th at Safari Sam's in Hollywood. The bill will be as follows:

And thanks for that Solace link Griff. The title 'The Black Black' sounds almost Spinal Tap-ish but the record does indeed rock. I listened to it driving today and it helped me hit 85mph.

Saw Saviours last night at some Vice mag party. Pretty standard Sabbathy metal with two guitars for double the riffage. I dug it okay but wasn't blown away. Maybe that's because I was told there was gonna be free drinks at the party but there wasn't. I still managed some half-assed headbanging. They're definitely better on record than on stage.
